Follow these instructions, before appointment:

• Patients with Pacemakers, Intracranial Aneurysm Clips, Metallic Implants, Shrapnel or who may be pregnant are excluded from having an MRI.

• When you come to the office for the MRI Exam, bring your insurance information, drivers license, and prescription.

• Bun /creatinine results required for ALL Patients, prior to having IV contrast for MRI Exams

• Metal objects can degrade or ruin MRI pictures. Leave all removable metallic objects outside the scanning room.

• cell phones • pagers • jewelry • keys • wigs/hair clips • watches • coins • eyeglasses  • hearing aids  • weapons

• dentures and prosthetic devices  • credit/bank cards (the MRI can corrupt the information on them)

*Please inform Empire Imaging immediately if you are allergic to Iodine (contrast)
Please note, there is no radiation in having an MRI done.
